Bam! This is one of those books that will suck you in and spit you out all while taunting you, The author was able to weave this world, city, whatever you want to call it, that is full of intrigue and mystery. You will question everything you thought you knew.

Being the second book in this series we learn a lot more about the world of vampires and werewolves. I loved the take on both. It was different then other paranormal reads that I have read in the past. The detail is amazing and we don't feel confused….. Well we do, but it's for complete different reasons. That reason being that we think we know what's going to happen but we truly have no idea.

This book, while we see the cast of the first book we meet new people, mainly Nick and Nicole. Nick….. His life was never easy, we saw him grow from a boy into this incredible man that we swoon over thru the whole book. Nicole was amazing, she was open to learning new things without jumping to being scared. She was super smart and full of life. They fight feelings for each other, but it's plain to see the love. I'll leave it at that. Don't want spoilers.

I loved seeing Dante and Alex (girl with a boy name) in this book! We see a different side to both of them in this book, good and bad. We see how far Dante will go to protect those he loves. They still have me so intrigued, I don't think I will ever understand the dynamic that they are. I still love them! But Nick and Nicole kind of stole my heart in this book.

The way the author was able to pull me in, make me mad, make tears form, make me want to throw my kindle at the wall and overall make me want to become part of this world is more than then I could ever ask for. I didn't want this ride to end. I have to give the author props on how well he was able to be thorough and descriptive without it being overboard. The plot for this book was different then book one but it was all intertwined to me this a great sequel. I truly can't wait to see what's next! The author outdid himself and I feel like he will only keep getting better and better. It's so hard to believe this is only his second book! #2OCCJD

Aaron's first book, Night Walker, absolutely blew me away and this sequel not only keeps up with the momentum he created, but amps it up all the way to the very end. Day Dreamer is more than just a follow up to get a second book out into the world, it's a masterpiece in and of its own right. It isn't a a quick, easy read, it's a dark, intense mind-blowing story that makes you rethink all you know about vampires and werewolves. Speer's paranormal characters are well thought out, complex, and are instantly relatable. Each one is uniquely written into the plot with a very specific purpose. You can tell that every detail was painstakingly thought out so that the book would come together in a beautiful symphony of action, plot, and emotion. No annoying cliffhanger, but at the end you'll be dying to find out what happens next in this series. This is easily a 5 star read. If I could give it more stars I would because it definitely is a step above most indie books.
You know how you hate it when a good book ends too soon? You won't have that issue with this book. Aaron L. Speer drags you into the world of vampires and werewolves and let's you get nice and comfy before whipping you around in various directions. Talk about one hell of a roller-coaster!
There's twists and flips at every single corner. DayDreamer is such an intense read that you'll be begging and hating that you need to get to the end at the same time.
Just when you think you've got the plot figured out Aaron does a magnificent job of screwing with your mind.
I literally just got to the end of this book and my mind is reeling. And I NEED to read the next book. Now that I think of it, it kind of reminds me of the way you feel when you read your first Nancy Drew story. You know the whole "the butler did it, no the nurse did it, no the old lady.." lol. It's a good thing I swear. This story never gets boring.
